Day 11 – Turtle Tagging
Posted: Mon, Aug 8, 2016
Location: Little Harbor, Jost van Dyke
This morning we woke up in Musk Melon Bay. Our breakfast consisted of bagels with cream cheese, cereal and yogurt. We then sailed to the beautiful Brewer’s Bay where the Neptunes and dolphins had dives at Shark Point and at the Pinnacles. For lunch, we enjoyed Tuscan white bean soup before our whole boat enjoyed a swim in the most beautiful water I have ever seen. The dolphins then went on an adventure to turtle tag! The dinghy dragged 4 snorkelers that were holding on to a rope above coral reefs. When one of the snorkelers spotted a turtle, the rest of the snorkelers on the dinghy would jump in and all tried to catch the turtle! So much harder than it sounds and unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. We then showered off on our boat and sailed to Jost Van Dyke. For dinner, we had a thanksgiving dinner, which consisted of mashed potatoes, stuffing and chicken! At night, we attended a lifeworks activity that discussed life goals. Finally, we ended our night with a beautiful sunset, of course!
