Location: Marina Cay
Today we woke up at 6:30 and the advanced group immediately shuttled to the boat Sambamba for a short dive. The Vegas stayed behind to get a start in our boat appreciation. Our dive instructor was Pip again. My buddy and I went in first and we waited at the bow for Pip and the other members of our group. Since we had just received our advanced certification Pip allowed us to do a fun dive. So, in turn, we were allowed to bring our Go Pros for the first time. Every buddy group had once except mine. Then once everybody was in the water and by the bow and mooring line we descended into the warm, crystal clear waters. After some navigation, we went into the chimney, a space like a narrow cave. After swimming through it, and seeing a massive crab, we returned to the boat and returned home to Bella. Then, reunited with the Vegas, we started something called Boat Appreciation, which was pretty much a big clean of the boat. After wiping every corner and washing every head, we relaxed and started studying for our sailing test. Soon after we all worked together to set up our boom into a boom swing. We tied a rope to a boom and the bow, eased out our main and tied a rope with a huge knot at the bottom of the boom. After being joined by Squeaky Brat, we swung off the boom for a couple hours. It was so much fun. We then motor sailed back to Marina Cay to fill up our water tanks and shower. We then anchored behind the mooring field and enjoyed a dinner of beef stroganoff.
