Day 7- Fender Overboard!

Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today was a very fun day. We got an early start today and we were the first boat to leave Gorda Sound. Even thought we were all a little tired from last night’s BBQ, we still all managed to get underway at 6:30 and have fun during our quick motor sail to Mountain Point, where we spent the rest of the day. Today was a rotation day, which are always super fun. First, we started with a sail chat, then we went for a super fun fish identification dive. During the dive, we were given slates showing different types of fish that we might see during the dive. We also were given a slate to write down and keep track of the fish we see. It was a really cool experience to find all the different fish and wildlife and be able to identify it. After our dive, we headed back to our boat and had a delicious lunch of sandwiches. After our much-craved lunch we were joined by some shipmates from Sambamba to do some man overboard drills. Our man who kept falling overboard was a fender who we named Dwayne. During our man overboard drills fun, Pharaoh, Will, and I all pretended we were alligator hunters catching alligators. Tonight we are going on a night dive. For most of us it is our first dive so we are all super excited. Also shout out to my dive group from today- Chris, Finn and Will. Anyways tonight we are having Mexican night, which is being cooked by the chefs right now and smells delicious. Shoutout to the cheffies Elan and Anna. Also, my fave OG dive buddy Layton, my shipmate for a second year, and our great staff Shona, Carolyn and DJ Butters.
