Wakey Wakey its gonna be a wonderful day! said the random stranger on our boat. We all woke up super confused because we had a random camper on our boat with his PFD, ready to go. We realized it was a prank so we went with it. We talked to him and figured out that he had been chilling and taking our hot sauce since 4am! The funniest part was when he woke up Max; he opened up his hammock and told him to put on sun block and be safe for the day! Our new friend 15 (hes the 15th member of our crew) left, we got prepared for our first race. As we were almost lined up with everyone, our engine broke, but we kept a good face and anyways didnt need it. So as we start raising our newly fixed halyard, it snaps and falls down. We didnt get to race, but we were still in a great mood because we were going to port. After a nice couple of hours in port, we got ready to go on our second race with our fixed engine and main halyard. We started out fast on a port tack with myself on the helm. We made swift tacks trying to keep a steady course. I later gave the helm to Clark. After a couple of rain showers and about 15 tacks, Clark led us to victory in our first race! When we passed the finish line we all chanted our cheer; Deep in the heart of the AQ jungle, you can hear Calypso rumble! We all were extremely happy with our work and later took showers and had a great Mexican night!
