Day 12 – The Chikuzen
Posted: Sun, Jun 26, 2016
Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
We woke up this morning in Marina Cay to Marina starting to make pancakes. After a few minutes, Pip, Marina, and Oscar left for a staff meeting and the chefs of the day finished making the pancakes. We were finally able to have Nutella and everyone was so happy we practically finished it in one meal. After we cleaned up, we made sure to save some pancakes for the instructors and played mafia until they returned. When they returned, we set out and sailed to the Chikuzen wreck in the middle of the ocean between Anegada and Tortola. We descended and saw several schools of fish along with others including the Honey Comb Cowfish. Just as we were ascending, someone spotted a nurse shark below us and we were all very excited to finally see one. After exiting the water, we sailed to Muskmelon Bay where the dolphins and Neptunes prepared for their night dive by snorkeling the site. We then had a dinner of chili and rice where we were joined by will, Paul and Rachel. Right now we are finishing cleanup and us dolphins and Neptunes are preparing for our first solo night dive! Shazam!
