Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Today was an extremely fun, lazy yet exciting day! We woke up around 8 am, because we stayed out late at Sydney’s having loads of fun! The instructors had a staff meeting so we made pancakes and saved the instructors some. We had a search and recovery dive right after breakfast. We had to look for Hank and Frank the tanks in Green Cay. The girls and boys split up, girls searching off the stern and the boys off the port side. Girls found one of the tanks first!!! After recovering our two beloved “shipmates” Hank and Frank we had a mini dance party afterwards! In mid dance Maddie B. heard someone yell Casserole, that’s our code word for help when we practice scenarios. We found a panicked dive, Sam, at the surface and his two buddies, (which were dive masters) Ella and John, unconscious underwater. Everyone on the boat helped out in rescuing the three “patients”. Our instructors, Sam, Ella and John gave us advice on how we could improve on rescuing once we finished the scenario. Then we dove the Playgrounds. We saw Spotted Eagle Rays, Arrow Crabs, Shrimp, Sea Urchins and so many cool fish! We had yummy beans, rice and corn bread for dinner. After dinner we had Lifeworks with Sam, which was an amazing experience.
