Day 14- Just Kidding Around

The folks on Kes Kat woke up bright and early and immediately went underway to Jost Van Dyke. It was there we met with the kids of the Jost Van Dyke Preservation Society. Before loading them on our boats, we engaged in interactive games to learn the names of the students and their interests. We also broke up into groups and assigned buddies. I was fortunate and had the opportunity to have two buddies of different ages and each a unique personality. With anchors raised and PFDs on, we sailed to Great Tobago for a day of swimming, snorkeling and fun. All the children loved spending time with their buddies and interacting with them. Some even taught the Lifeworks students things they never knew. One of my buddies showed me an odd but edible creature. He found and cracked open wilk (which is pretty much like conch) and we ate them raw. Though very tough, they were really good. After a long day of fun, we got back on board and headed back to where we began. With the help of the JVDPs, we moored the boat just before saying goodbye. When we parted ways we sailed off to Cane Garden Bay where we will spend our night. Ending our day with a laughter filled (and a lap filled) dinner, our evening was perfectly concluded with a beautiful sunset on the horizon… and brownies.
