Day 14- Certified Divers
Posted: Tue, Jul 21, 2015
Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
We had our final open water skills dive today. So we are now certified divers. Today was like any other rotation day. First we dove and became certified divers, then we were shuttled to Squeakybrat to watch a movie. We decided to watch The Cove, a documentary about dolphins in Japan. There is a specific place in Japan where dolphins have migrated for centuries and nowadays fishermen seal the dolphins in. The bad thing about this isn’t just dolphins being killed, it’s also that dolphins contain high levels of mercury, which is very toxic. We didn’t finish it yet because we still had to move to our next rotation, which was waterskiing. I prefer kneeboarding because I tried wakeboarding and I kept falling. Then we went Pico sailing, which was very interesting. We finally came back to Celestial Storm where we sailed a bit and then I had to do sailing circles which was hard because the wind shifted due to the land near us. But now I’m done so bye!
