Day 13 Trail By Navigation
Posted: Sun, Jun 28, 2015
Location: Sommer’s Beach, Tortola
Today we awoke to the wonderful sound of the clips for the wind screen banging against the hull. When we were all “awake” (I usually remain in a state of total mental confusion until about 10:00) we had cereal for breakfast and started our sail to Sommer”s beach. We had an awesome sail even though it was so early. Once we arrived, some of us went wake boarding, which was really awesome, as it was choppy which made trying to stay up exciting. The rescue divers then went over to another boat, where we prepared for our navigation dive. For our dive, we had to make a hexagon with angled of differing degrees. At each corner, they placed a marker that we had to find. When we were back on the boat, we practiced getting an unresponsive diver out of the water and back onto the boat by lifting them up while supporting their head. After we completed this exercise, we went back to the boat and met up with the Neptune divers and left for the beach barbecue.
