Day 12 Diving and Learning to Jibe

Today was a full, but fun day! We started off the day with delicious french toast and fruit and tackled cleanup by ourselves since our staff members where off at a meeting. Then we sailed for awhile to another island where we all jumped in the water for the first dive of the day! I worked on my underwater photography skills and observed cool butterfly fish and colorful coral. By the time we got back to the boat from our dive, we were all pretty hungry, and we had yummy chicken salad sandwiches waiting for us. After lunch we had another long sail. I got to sail the boat for awhile and learned how to “jibe”. Everybody relaxed and napped during the sail and many people made themselves cool anklets called turkshead with the help of Davis. Once we arrived at our final destination of the day, we had chili for dinner and Mike joined us for a cool black-and-white card exercise. After dinner, I went on an awesome night dive with some of my shipmates to conclude a great day!
