This rotation day was an interesting one. The day started with the usual morning CD wake-up. We ate our bagel and yogurt breakfast pretty quickly so that we could start the day’s activities. As some of us finished filling up our water bottles and putting on sunscreen, the rest of us hopped into dinghies to head over to the dive boat. The Barracudas jumped in the water while the Vegas ere getting briefed for their first open water dive. After surfacing and putting away our gear, we all went waterskiing and kneeboarding. We returned to Sambamba and at a yummy lunch of grilled cheese and lemonade. The day was nowhere near done after lunch and cleanup. Rapid refills on water and sunscreen were followed by Pico sailing. The next and final rotation rolled around and all of the shipmates came together to learn how to hook mooring balls. After we returned to our beloved Sambamba, we ate a delicious turkey dinner and had another one of our enlightening sail chats. While we waited for our cookie brownies to bake, exhaustion took over all of us as bed time finally arrived.
