Day 5- A Day In The Bay

Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
The day started out with an early start. We woke up at 6:47am preparing bagels for the long day ahead of us. Today we did “rotations,” which was when we all got to do many activities throughout the day that were split up by boat. The first activity that we did was diving. The Vega shipmates went to the beach to take their first breaths underwater. We did not get very deep or very far from shore, but we were taught lots of helpful skills for when we get to go to the real dive sites. The Barracudas were able to take a big dive to the Sand Circles. We all had a great time when we were diving. The next rotation was waterskiing. We all went kneeboarding from the back of a dinghy. After doing our watersports we had a nice lunch of tuna salad sandwiches. Right after lunch we went to the Savanna Bay beach and had the choice either to windsurf or Pico sail. I personally had a great time, and I heard the rest of the boat did too. Our final rotation was learning about the dinghy, and getting to drive it. We had a fun time creating the “man overboard.” We had Mike, the director, over for dinner tonight and we had an amazing stroganoff dinner. This day was full of many adventures, but we had them all in just one little bay.
