Today Smudge woke me at 6:45am to get the rest of the shipmates up. The staff went to a meeting and Ehan, the chef, made bagels. The DMs went directly to their first rotation and did a skills dive. We practiced mask removal demonstrations and regulator retrieval demonstrations. The Carinas went skiing on their first rotation. Dan did slalom skiing, and they also wakeboarded, kneeboarded and windsurfed. The DMs also assisted the Carinas on our boat with their dives today. Ehan, Chris and Leo went on their first dive today. They practiced lots of skills in a confined water area. They enjoyed their dinghy practice and luckily didn’t crash into anything! We finished up the day by doing tank runs and helping with dive gear cleanup. Dan and Ehan and Chris worked together to make the best non-vegetarian chili AQ has ever seen. It was AMAZING! Today I finished all of my skin diving skills and some of the underwater skills. I am so glad I finished my swim test that required swimming 50 feet in one breath! It took me eight tries but I did it!!! And, Alana arrived today!!
