Day 2- First Day of Sailing and Snorkeling

Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today was an incredible day here on Rossi. Starting the day bright and early with fruit and cereal was just the beginning. After breakfast was the great meeting with the director of AQ, Mike. Once the meeting was over, everyone was allowed to have a little time on the island before we finally set sail. Setting sail felt amazing. Everyone was learning the parts of the boat and bonding on the way to our next stop. We even saw a sea turtle while on the sailboat! Upon our arrival, everyone ate a yummy lunch of sandwiches and after that, the swim test began. While it may not sound like fun, it really was. The water felt great on such a warm day. Once the test ended we went snorkeling in a cave. It was incredibly interesting to see all the different forms of life underwater. We saw sea urchins, lots of coral and multiple kinds of fish in many different shapes, sizes and colors. Once that was over everyone finally got to have a much-needed shower in the ocean. Dinner was next, and consisted of Sloppy Joe’s, corn, mashed potatoes and salad. It was great! The first full day together on Rossi was an amazing start to this adventure and I cannot wait for the days to come!
