Staff Update Day 10: Halfway There
Posted: Sat, Aug 9, 2014
Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Oh what a trip it has been! The crew has been assimilating extremely well to boat life. After a slow start to our adventure thanks to Bertha, we have had a great ten days on the water. The Neptunes have all completed their night, deep, boat, fish ID and equipment specialties and are now certified as Advanced Open Water divers! The Rescue divers still have some training left but accomplished the most intense training session of the trip yesterday, and are on track to finishing the program without any problems. Amy has been keeping the group happy with stories of Bob Saget and homemade fudge. Ella, Kirsten and Chandler have all been very excited for the dives and said that the Chikuzin was their favorite. Ella has enjoyed meeting new people and diving the Fearless. Weston has kept us all entertained with stories of duck hunting. Gray, JJ and Daniel have been an incredibly close and reliable dive buddy trio. Brandon has been keeping the group excited for every dive when people are getting tired, and hasn’t stopped smiling yet. And Ryan and Rachel are a force in the rescue diver course. We don’t have that much longer on the water, but we’re going to try to make it last as long as possible and look forward to what the next week has to bring.
