Day 19 – The BVI Capital
Posted: Sun, Jul 27, 2014
Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today we had a lie in till 0700 and then a relaxed breakfast. Unfortunately, Kelly flew home today which was an emotional time for all of us and whilst we will all miss her, we wish for the best. After breakfast we went out for our final session of waterskiing and wakeboarding before sailing over to Road Town, the capital of the BVI. Using Linda’s knowledge we found the local supermarket which had an amazing deli, we could tell that is was a good spot as it was filled with locals. Most of us got BBQ chicken and rice or noodles and for only $5 it was a feast. After lunch we went to the gelato parlor, which had amazing ice cream, which was the perfect thing to soothe the blistering heat. After Road Town we had a friendly race to The Bight, in which we placed third. Now we’re doing a big boat appreciation so that we can get more shore time and don’t have to do it tomorrow.
