Day 15: Monstrous Mountain Mega Day

What an amazing action-packed day! We had an early start to the day in preparation for our hike up Mount Sage, the highest point in the BVI. We landed on the dock eager and excited for the challenge that awaited us all. Mary Morgan was the first boat to the top. At the top we all enjoyed a delicious banana smoothie after taking in the studding scenery. We trekked back down the mountain into Cane Garden Bay. There we recovered from our long hike with ice cream, smoothies and a cheese burger in paradise. Several of us also watched amazed as a local glass blower turned recycled glass into beautiful art. We left Cane Garden and changed our headed to a beautiful sand island where we had a sand castle building contest. Our design for the sand castle was an extremely happy smiley face. Unfortunately our sand castle did not win the contest but we all thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent making him. In addition to sand castle building Isaac Chris and I went on a bit of an adventure around the island in search of an edible coconut. Now we are enjoying some down time before we head over to Sydney’s for another amazing night. Here we will enjoy a BBQ, live music and most importantly, friendship. I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to all those back at home who have made this amazing experience possible.
