We woke up this morning to a downpour of rain. Many of us were sleeping on deck so we moved below for cover where we received several more hours of sleep until Matt (our staff member) woke us yet again to loud music and his cheery morning voice. Once up and moving we enjoyed hot oatmeal and it was off to our last rotation day. This consisted of a sailing video of how sail training came to be, Picoing and deep diving. Those waiting for a Pico had diving and biggest/smallest competitions. Mia took first for smallest splash and our friend Mara from a different boat won biggest splash title. Later in the afternoon the Barracuda and Carina programs went for their deep dive. There were difficulties finding the drop-off so we didn’t go as deep as planned but we did do a really spiffy experiment with an egg. Because of the pressure under water you can crack an egg and the yolk will stay together. It was so cool to see and floating at the bottom of the sea. By lunch time we were all starving. We had PB+J or as some of us did, Nutella sandwiches, it was perfection! After cleanup we raised sails and moseyed around the corner to Cane Garden Bay where we refilled the water tanks and chilled on deck. We currently finished dinner and are setting up to watch a movie. To go along with our Finding Nemo night we will enjoy warm cookies and a relaxing evening.
