Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Today we woke up early and had a quick bite of a filling breakfast of cereal. Those diving went on their certifying dive, where the saw lionfish and a lobster that was reported to be five feet long, and numerous other species of fish. Those who were not scuba diving went snorkeling in Muskmelon Bay, which was also where we anchored the previous night, and saw a whole variety of fish, a lot that looked like Dory from Finding Nemo. Later we watched some videos, including a TED talk on conservation and how trash in the ocean is swept by currents into a pile the size of Texas in the north Pacific, and on the pitfalls of consumerism. After we set sail for Sandy Spit where we will have a beach BBQ.
