Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
After a well-deserved sleep following the hike day the shipmates all got up and ate cereal as we watched the sunrise over Little Harbor in Jost Van Dyke. Shortly after breakfast we motored to Playgrounds; a dive site given a special nickname because big marine animals usually go there to play! When we got there everyone set up dive gear and shuttled over to the dive site. Each group saw something interesting! Giant barracuda, nurse sharks, stingrays, octopi, swim-throughs, and more. We all regrouped for lunch and then headed off on our next dive. Later, we made Turk’s Head bracelets with Tina. The chefs then got ready to make dinner of beans and franks and we all ended our busy dive day with great food and great company.
