Today was an amazing day. We truly have learned so much sailing technics in such a short amount of time! We started off the day later than usual, due to the late BBQ last night waking up at 7am. We had a delicious breakfast- thank you Annie. We all sat around the table eating pancakes with various toppings, such as Nutella, jelly, butter, and honey. My favorite was definitely Nutella! We left Sydney’s at around 7:45am. Today was our sailing practical, which is basically a test to get our certification. We also have to take a theory test. All of us got to take turns leading and steering the ship on the stern. We had to tie knots, such as the clove hitch, cleat knot, and figure eight knot. We had to know our different points of sail and how to jibe and tack. We did that until lunch, which was peanut butter and jelly or chicken salad sandwiches. After two more people had to take the wheel. After Reily and Oscar went we sailed to Sandy Spit, where we had until dinner to just hang out and jump off the boat. It was so much fun. The Prosecutor ActionQuest first ninja kick long jump invitational dive competition also occurred during these hours. Hosted by Ivan, Benji won with a superman jump causing the victory. Malachi came in close second and Renee in third. Ivan, who loves spicy things, put a lot of peppers in the franks at dinner and they were great. Toay was a great day and we learned a lot about how much we know about sailing.
