Day 12

Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Author: Isabella D.
This morning we woke up at Marina Cay to a clear, blue sky and a perfect ocean breeze. Every day here is paradise, packed with tons of diving, sailing, and hanging out on the boat. It’s so hard to keep track of the days, this trip is flying by so fast. Our boat has become so close and has made so many memories, and we still have nine days left to make many more. Our chefs made a delicious meal of French toast for breakfast. We then motored over to Muskmelon Bay for a fun dive. The coral was full of colorful fish as usual, and some people on my boat even saw a seven foot Nurse shark! After our dive, we drifted over to Lava Flow and set anchor. Our boat dinghied to shore and hung out on the sandy beach for some free time. Maddy and I took some pictures and our boat met up and hung out with some other dive side boats which was really fun. When we got to the boat we motored back to Muskmelon Bay. The chefs made a great dinner of chili and rice which was super filling. We all set up our dive gear to get ready for the night dive. Everyone saw so many sick things! Some saw squid, tarpon, and goat fish. My buddy and I saw arrow crabs and a sea walnut. We are all now night dive certified! How exciting! As a treat / celebration, Marina made us amazing brownies. It was a great way to end a fun and exciting day.
