Day 9- No More Confined Water Dives!
Posted: Wed, Jul 17, 2013
Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
We started the day with our final confined water dive. It was really cool because we were much deeper (20 ft.) and a large school of fish and a few yellow tailed snappers were swimming around us. After that we went waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding in front of Mountain Point for two hours- it was great. Then we had Tuscan white bean soup for lunch. We ate it so fast we managed to have thirds before our navigation class. Navigation was pretty normal until Ali spotted a cool looking cloud going down the mountain. The cloud turned out to be a massive rainstorm, but we managed to get inside before we got too wet. After the rainstorm passed we went over to mooring practice. Since we have the smallest group we finished 40 minutes early and we went swimming until we were shuttled back to Laurasia, where we had chicken caesar salad and risotto for dinner. Now half of us are going night diving while the others have a sail chat, and tomorrow morning the people in the sail chat will have their first open water dive!
