Day 3- Can We Swim Yet?
Posted: Thu, Jul 11, 2013
Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Today was a very interesting one! We started off with a solid breakfast of scrambled eggs, muffins, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. After devouring the food, we began our sailing journey to Savanna Bay. On the way, Monika taught us tons of sailing terms and techniques. In the intense heat everybody was begging to go for a swim, but we had to wait until our journey was complete. After lunch we were all exhausted and spent the next couple hours relaxing and napping. As soon as the anchor hit the bottom of Savanna Bay, everyone was full of energy and jumped off the boat into the water. After an extremely refreshing swim and shower, Simon taught us how to assemble our scuba gear. Even though it appeared confusing at first, all of us quickly mastered it. Next we ate an awesome dinner of penne and alfredo sauce with chopped hot dogs. The hot dogs disappeared within seconds; they were clearly popular. After dinner we chilled on the deck, had some more chat about scuba, and finally passed out for the night.
