Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
After a night of heavy rains in Jost Van Dyke, we woke up to a yummy breakfast of pancakes. We motored for about an hour to Sandy Spit. Once we got there we set up our dive gear for our fourth and final search and recovery dive. Lunch was some chicken salad sandwiches. After lunch we were surprised with our first rescue scenario. We were a little rusty for it but we learned a lot and are really prepared for the next one. After that we went on a sweet dive at the playgrounds. As we were getting in the dinghy to go dive, we spotted a massive shadow swimming off our bow. At first we thought it was a dolphin but quickly realized it was a huge tiger or bull shark. The biggest shark Sam has ever seen in the BVI! On the dive we saw a manta ray about 40 feet above us. It was really cool. After the dive we went to shore on Sandy Spit and had some awesome hermit crab races. Dinner was franks and beans.
