Location: Sydney’s, Jost Van Dyke
Today we woke up bright and early to hike to the top of Mt. Sage, the highest point in the BVI. The hike began with a steep, long climb that didn’t level out for over a mile, which sounds a lot worse than it actually is. Usually, a lot of people turn around and hike down within the first mile, but today, most of us stuck with it and kept going. The road we were hiking on was beautiful with lush green jungle on either side and views of the ocean near the top. It wasn’t at all like climbing back home, but it was still challenging. After the hike we all walked into town in Cane Garden Bay for lunch and went back to the boat. We then sailed to Sandy Cay and had a giant sand castle building contest with the other boats. We had a lot of fun burying Ignacio in the sand. Now we’re about to go ashore for dinner and dancing at Sydney’s Peace and Love – I’m excited!
