Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
I woke up today knowing it was a big day, it was my turn to be skipper of our boat. We had some cheerios and we were shortly underway. I sailed 5 miles to a dive spot called the Chimney’s. Never before taking the helm I was scared I would embarrass myself. It turned out okay though after lots of coaching from Jack and Pippa and I gained a feel for it. The Chimney’s was probably my favorite dive spot ever because I saw two barracudas! I’m not used to seeing big fish! I then sailed 7 miles to Muskmelon Bay and had my favorite meal of chili and saltines. Being skipper you must have a sense of urgency and leadership and a day like today taught me both of those things.
