Staff Update Day 10

We have just had the best banana pancakes ever! We are all set with big smiles on our faces after that delicious meal (cooked by pancake pro Carly) and preparing ourselves for an awesome rotation day. As staff it’s been great seeing our team really come together over the last ten days. You may think us biased but we definitely have the best crew ever! Our sailing is top notch (we get the mooring balls the first time, every time), our man overboard drills are spot on, and we’re “knot” bad at our rope work either! William especially can do every knot in captain Gordo’s teaching manuals, and is a great help when it comes to tying the hammocks each night! Yesterday was a big day for diving, and as their instructor it was really clear to see how great their diving and underwater teamwork have improved! We had our advanced open water fish ID dive where the Carina’s worked as a group to identify and count fish species together. Arianna, Simon, Caroline, and Ethan completely filled their slate and were lucky enough to see a turtle! We then had a night dive, which essentially was an underwater disco and so much fun! Our Vegas, Carly, Carlie, and Cooper are looking forward to their first open water dive today at Mountain Point, and it won’t be long until they’re certified! When they’re not diving though, our Prosecuties can be found Pico sailing (watch out for Jack!), kneeboarding, learning about points of sail (Harrison is always studying!), or heading up intense card games in the evenings with Chad and Teddy. All in all it’s been a great ten days (with the occasional bucket lost overboard), and I’m looking forward to sharing a nice cup of hot chocolate with my crew this evening, relaxing in the Caribbean Sea!
