Savanna Bay and Virgin Gorda

Today was absolutely amazing. I still can’t believe we’re sailing in the Caribbean. After the windy, stormy day yesterday it was nice to have some sun. Last night was probably the best night of sleep I’ve gotten all trip- it was awesome to wake up and finally feel rested. The one bummer today, especially because I’m skipper, was that we didn’t switch ports. Although this was a bummer seeing as we didn’t get any big boat sailing action and thus I didn’t get to actually skipper, it meant we had full day of awesome rotations. We went waterskiing/wakeboarding/kneeboarding, scuba diving (so fun!), and windsurfing/chilling on the beach. Scuba diving was definitely my favorite. It was the first time diving, so we just had a confined dive to learn the skills. I was still super nervous though! However, I soon realized there was nothing to be worried about- it’s awesome, and breathing underwater is incredible. The hardest skill we learned was removing fully and replacing our masks underwater, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought! Looking forward to many more days under the Caribbean sun!
