Rain Rain Go Away

After awaking to the sound of a torrential downpour just three feet above my head as I sleep in the fo’c’s’le, I knew we were in for some weather today. Breakfast was prepared and consumed in the usual fashion, and then it was time to set out from the Bight at Norman Island all the way to Savanna Bay on Virgin Gorda, basically a straight shot through the Drake across the BVI. It was really windy so unfortunately we were not able to raise our sails today, but the several hour long motor to Savanna Bay was filled with games like Six Degrees of Separation and Contact. The waves may have been hitting our bow and we may have a lot of salt on our skin, but this boat and some 12 divemasters didn’t and will never really mind a day of minorly rough seas. This is our element; this is where we thrive.
