The Rhone, Salt Island, and GHP

We woke up around 6:50 am and ate cereal while we were underway to dive the RMS Rhone for the second time. The sail was about 2 hours long, and we were able to see most of the islands of the BVI’s. We readied our dive gear and jumped into the waters above the Rhone. Both Dolphins and Rescues dove the stern and the much deeper bow of the wreck which was a really cool experience. Everyone changed into “land clothes” and we made our way to Salt Island where we mourned the lives of those lost in the sinking of the Rhone and we visited the salt lake which the queen of England gets her Christmas dinner salts from. Rescue’s had two more lectures then were paid a visit by BVI Search and Rescue and they got to participate in a mock accident. Dolphins had our first digi-photo dive which produced some pretty interesting photos. We then dissected a starfish which was really fun and Amber and I were less grossed out than the guys. The Rescue’s were gone for a long time so the five of us, Cayley, Greg, and Evan had dinner and hung out on the boat. We have a research lecture tonight and Rescue’s have a knowledge review. After we got back us 3 girls (me, Amber and Chloe) are going out in our dinghy with Meg and Cayley to hang out while the guys have some time on the boat. Its been a pretty good day so we can’t wait for tomorrow.
