Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today we woke up bright and early and broke our fast with some cereal. The divemasters took their advanced swim test while the rest of us geared up for some snorkeling. We went to a shore covered in mangrove trees- the perfect place to find young fish of all different species. Several barracuda were on the prowl for their breakfast near us. Masses of jellyfish made navigation tricky, but we saw what there was to see and made it back to the dinghy. After that it was off to Pico and windsurfing, where most of us opted for sailing. Following a lunch of mac and cheese, it was time for waterskiing and wakeboarding. I was the only person who wanted to go, so I had a whole hour and a half to learn to board. After many discouraging falls, I figured out how to stand up and I was soon wakeboarding like a pro. Next up was sailing. We piled into a smaller boat than most of us were used to, and got a closer look at the techniques of sailing. When we returned, it was time for showers before the beach party.
