Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
This morning-without realizing it- we woke up at six, ate fruit and cereal, and left the docks behind. We spent the day sailing by the islands, and stopped at Peter Island to swim before continuing onto Savanna Bay. I actually got to steer today, which was pretty cool, and we learned a little about sailing. Because I fell asleep last night before meeting the final shipmates, I woke up to new faces and have learned a lot about them and the others, even the staff who have a lot to offer and so much experience. Here at Savanna Bay we took a shower in the salt water, which was so cool. And tonight it got really windy, which hasn’t discouraged me from sleeping in a hammock… I still really want to! I think we will end day 2 with our first scuba talk.
