Today was an interesting day, we were supposed to go diving in the morning which I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately there had been a few bad jellyfish in the area so the dive was called off. Instead of diving we went on a hike to the windward side of the island, in order to see the difference between the windward side and the leeward side. The difference was amazing, the windward side was covered in bare rocks and was being bombarded by huge waves. The leeward side was calm with a nice sandy beach and tiny waves! After the hike we came back to the boat and watched a documentary on the life of a sea turtle, which was really interesting. Once the movie was done we headed over to another boat and learned a few very useful knots like the bowline and clove hitch, and also a few not so useful knots like the draggin’ bowline! While most of us were learning knots a few people went out in the dinghies and learned how to operate them. While we were learning the knots the instructor was also show us how to set the boat up for docking, like where to place the fenders and how to set up the lines. The last thing we did was go scuba diving. At night we did Lifeworks, which was a program with Mike where we talked about our personalities and used fun techniques to express ourselves for other people. It was a good day overall. .
