A Cat at a Turtle’s Pace

Location: The Bight, Norman Island
The now familiar Great Harbour, Peter sunrise warmed the deck of our trusty vessel on another beautiful BVI morning. After an early morning rescue diver scenario we motored to another fun dive on the Fearless. Under water, the toilet on the bow of the wreck got the most attention. The Sir Frances Drake Channel was speckled with sailboats as the crew guided Mambo to Road Town for our last “time ashore.” After exploring the largest city in Tortola, dive side participated in a race from Road Town to Norman Island. The cats were teaming through the water at blistering speeds doing 4 knots with winds barely cracking double digits. Despite the slow speeds, enthusiasm was high as Mambo finished second to Boss Lady. We lay our heads down with heavy hearts knowing we only have one more day to take in this beautiful landscape with the people we have have come so close to over the past three weeks.
