Day 10

Today we woke up to a pouring rainstorm, what fun! Other than that today was awesome. With my favorite breakfast so far of pancakes, I knew the day would be amazing. Since today was a rotation day, we used the Picos first. They are very small boats which zip around Mountain Point, which is where we are anchored. After the Pico sailing we headed over to Spindrift for my favorite part of the day: diving. We had our first open water dive and the whole boat was so pumped. When we had set up and jumped in the water, I looked around at the bottom, which was coral covered. We went about 30 ft. for about 30 minutes. We saw so many cool fish. When we came back from our dive we were greeted by another one of my favorite foods to eat on the boat: grilled cheese. It was awesome. The next rotation was mooring practice, which was long and tiring. We then had a sail chat, where we learned different knots and some boat features. As we took our usual boat shower, we blasted some of my favorite tunes and we had a good time. I have learned to like the boat showers, which consists of soaping up on the deck and jumping in the salt water and then rinsing in fresh water. We are always conserving our fresh water. Dinner tonight is summer thanksgiving…
