The container is here! Two weeks ago our Florida team loaded supplies and gear into our forty foot container, and today we opened it and distributed the equipment to some of our boats and storerooms in the BVI. The most impressive sight was the tower of food that greeted us when we opened the doors. We ship all of the dry food for our program to the islands, and supplement every few days with fresh food from local sources. To give an example of the what that means, our storerooms now hold over 300 boxes of cereal, 250 jars of peanut butter, and 130 jars of pasta sauce! After the last can of food, box of paperwork, and tank compressor was unloaded, we relaxed on the dock with a swim before heading to dinner under another beautiful Caribbean sunset.
