Location: Marina Cay
Today was yet another day in paradise; lots of sun, beautiful blue water, and a wonderful long sail to our current location of Marina Cay, which acted as one of the final review sails for all the would-be sailors who still need to take their practical sailing tests. Spirits are high as always and the music is always loud and fantastic (whenever allowed only, of course). Today provided a second port day for the crew, and even though there was only one store to go to, everyone appreciated the opportunity to get back on land (and fill up on snacks). On a personal note, the docking at Marina Cay was done by yours truly and it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. The dive was supposed to be the highlight of the day, but for me today’s sail gave me a taste of having command of a vessel, a taste I cherished and which gave me a new appreciation and respect for all captains. This trip has only strengthened my love for sailing and the sea. Today a crew member, tomorrow is unknown, but for now I am signing out to enjoy the rest of my night in paradise, as the end is coming quicker than I would like.
